How to Use TradingView Chart Replay on Multiple Monitors?

We were asked: “One question, I have three monitor setups; one is my laptop and the other two are my desktop screens.
I have downloaded the Trading view app on the laptop, when open the chart and I cut the chart for replay for back testing, it only cuts in the main computer and not in the other extended 2 monitors, am I doing some settings incorrect?”

TradingView’s chart replay feature seems to default to your laptop screen rather than working properly across your extended monitors. Here are a few things you can check and try:

1. Ensure TradingView is Set to the Correct Monitor

  • Drag the TradingView app to your desired monitor before starting the chart replay.
  • Maximize the window on that screen to see if it functions correctly.

2. Check Display Settings

  • On Windows:
    • Right-click on the desktop and go to Display Settings.
    • Ensure your monitors are properly extended (not duplicated).
    • Set the correct monitor as Primary Display if needed.
  • On Mac:
    • Go to System Preferences > Displays and check the arrangement.

3. Change TradingView Window Mode

  • Instead of full-screen mode, try using windowed mode and manually resizing the TradingView app across your monitors.

4. Update Graphics Drivers

  • Outdated drivers can cause display-related bugs. Ensure your GPU drivers (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) are current.

5. Try the Web Version

  • If the desktop app isn’t working properly, test TradingView in a web browser (Chrome, Edge, or Safari) and see if the issue persists.

6. Check TradingView App Settings

  • Open TradingView settings and look for any display-related options.
  • Reset to default settings and restart the app.

7. Reinstall TradingView

  • If nothing else works, uninstall and reinstall the TradingView app.

Let us know if any of this help or if you notice any other specific issues!

Update: Trading view doesn’t support replay of One chart on multiple monitors
