MT5 - bracket orders

#1

Hi,

I notice on MT5 you can place a bracket order, (market or limit with pre defined Profit/Stop)

These are measured by price. Is there any way to change these to be measured by ticks.

e.g. I want to place a limit order with a SL of 10 ticks and a Profit target of 10 ticks.

Thanks,

Jubael

Yes, it is possible to change the representation of stop levels on MT5. As you have already seen, stop/profit targets are represented by price by default.

To alter stop and profit level targets to represent their value by ticks, take a look at our directions below.

1. Navigate to the Tools tab and left click Options.

2. Once you are in the Options window, select the Trade tab and then adjust the Stop Levels field. Change the option to In Points to have your stop levels represented by tick.

Now when placing an order and adjusting the stop loss and take profit legs, the values will now be measured by ticks. As you can see, we have adjusted our targets to something similar that you have asked for. We have adjusted our Stop Loss to 10 ticks and our take profit to 10 ticks as well.
