Simulated Versus Real-Time Execution

I am testing out a futures trading strategy that requires fast execution. Yur demo account is quick, but would I be able to get the same execution when it comes to a real futures account?

@Hatt Thank you for your question. Real (live) accounts could be even faster than demo accounts as some platform providers use a separate server for their demo. However, other issues demo users assume that live execution may not fulfill:

  1. Slippage on live accounts could be more significant than a demo account.
  2. Not all Limit orders may be filled demo at times does.

These two factors may have an impact on your strategy. Please consider them. Demos provide a glimpse into an approach, but it does not encompass all the obstacles that you may run while committing real funds.
We hope this helps.
