What should be the STOP loss placement for mini Nikkei 225 Futures

Hello traders! I would like advice on STOP loss placement for DAY trading the mini NIkkei 225 Futures on Osaka Exchange. I am a day trader, I aim for at least a 2:1 reward to loss ratio in each trade I take.
Thank you!

@Edwin, we appreciate the question. We assume that your questions pertain to the Nikkei 225 mini that is traded on Osaka (Japan Exchange Group). Let us try and answer your question in the most technical manner. The Osaka Nikkei 225 mini contract size is:
Contract Unit Nikkei 225 Ă— ÂĄ100
Tick Size ÂĄ5 (Value per tick: ÂĄ500 per contract).

So you need to make sure that your stop-loss is half the size of the target you wish to have. If you aim at for example 30 ticks, your stop should be 50 ticks. Just an arbitrary example.

Stoploss Disclaimer: The placement of contingent orders by you such as a “stop-loss” or “stop-limit” order, will not necessarily limit your losses to the intended amounts, since market conditions may make it impossible to execute such orders.
