Why can't Optimus Flow read external algo (strategy)?

I coded a strategy in Visual Studio and built it with the Quantower extension. I checked, and the strategy went to the appropriate subfolder, but it doesn’t show inside Optimus Flow for backtest/optimize or the strategy manager. I checked the software version, and there are no updates, as I am running version 1.145.9.

I did the same procedure (built in Visual Studio and checked that the solution is in the right subfolder) with Quantower, and the strategy shows up inside the platform. Optimus Flow is behaving differently.

Hello @gabriel,

Thank you for your patience on this matter.

We have consulted with our developers and due to recent updates on both Optimus Flow and Visual Studio, you will need to update your Optimus Flow trading platform to the beta version in order to view the strategy you’ve created.

The current version of Optimus Flow you are using (Version 145) uses NET8, while version 146 (the beta version) uses NET10.

In order to update your platform to the latest beta version, please open general settings (1) and scroll down on the view tab (2):

Then click Use Beta version (3) and finally, click the Refresh wheel in the top right of your platform (4) to update to the latest version.

Once you’ve updated, you should be able to view your strategy created in Optimus Flow’s Algo Suite.

For now, this update is in beta, but within the next few weeks it will be pushed to the live production version of Optimus Flow and will be available to all users, without the need to update to beta.

We hope this helps!

Best,
Optimus Futures Suport

Thanks for the answer, Jake. It is good to know that this new version will be released soon because I have had some other instabilities with this current version, too. Lots of data not loading properly, or orders that will not go through. So I won’t use the beta version just yet, hoping for a more stable version once it is out.
